I did not upgrade to Vivaldi 7.0, because they haven't fixed any of the bugs that I reported, and it doesn't really bring anything new to the table.

Since a long time, I use only Firefox. But if ever I would need a Chromium browser, I would probably choose Vivaldi. For that purpose, I collected a list of Vivaldi Help and Vivaldi Blog URLs. I added the new tracker blocker info to the list. Thanks again.

 

I would like to support Vivaldi, but sadly enough I'm still using Google. So I'm not affected by this anyway.

When is Vivaldi going to fix Sync?

 

I still haven't upgraded to Vivaldi 7.0, because they still haven't fixed a couple of serious bugs! For example, sooner or later, Vivaldi will start to ignore your Close Tabs settings, so it will refuse to close to the left or right tab, it totally loses track of tabs. Apparantly they can't reproduce this major bug, well then they should hire better software testers!

I wonder if JaneN is still around on WSF? Perhaps you can contact the developers and tell them to fix a couple of serious bugs.

Hasn't this been fixed already? I now longer see a message on the Vivaldi forum. But I don't use sync, I think it's too risky, it's not even secured with 2FA.

 

Oh boy, Vivaldi is going in the wrong direction. This is not what I call innovation, I do not care for gimmicks like Speed Dial, Widgets and the Dashboard.

I mean there is still so much IMPORTANT stuff to implement:

Like automatic tab stacking by domain, improving the adblocker, a better password manager. Not to forget about the ability to export/import configuration settings and extensions. And of course the ''Close Tab Activation'' bug should get fixed ASAP, because it's embarrassing. Same goes for fixing the ''Memory Saver'' feature which seems to do nothing.
