vista firewall

    im running windows vista home premium
    does the vista firewall provide inbound and outbound protection if so why does it not ask when something tries to connect to the net(outbound)?

    Yes vista has two way but buy default outbound is off inbound is on.In fact its hidden, you can check it by start,type wf.msc check the outbound settings is allow all by default.Easy fix No complicated set up.you can downloaded free sphinx vista firewall controll works well for outbound control and is extremley light and very user friendly.
