    Hi all,

one question: I have installed the 30day trial of nod32 on my daughters
machine. Now trial is expired and there is no more icon shown in the taskbar. But there is already a process nod32krn.exe running on the machine. What does it mean exactly? Do i have virus protection at this time? I tested and was unable to download the EICAR testfile from www.eicar.org. But no Message from Nod32 was coming up - Just IE6
says: Site cannot be displayed. So in my mind the machine has at the moment (basically - no program interface - no updates) virus protection.?

Please give me some light in the dark.... thanks

Hi Citrus, your protection run out when your 30 trial period ended, as in, it will no longer update to protect you from the latest threats.

If you want to maintain protection by using Nod32, then you need to purchase it from the place that you downloaded from, and it's always best to purchase locally, local purchase for local support is what I say.

    Hope this helps...

    Cheers :D

Just on this point, as you know I am running the trial version with the prospect of purchasing. When I do purchase do I uninstall the trial and install a fresh copy of NOD32? Thanks, I have to do this for myself and have also installed the trial for my friend so will need to do the same for both computers although my trial is over first.

Yes you will have to uninstall the trial version and download a copy of commercial version.
