I'm running ChromeOS under Windows XP Pro SP3 via VirtualBox.
    My question is:

If I download a virus on ChromeOS, does Windows XP Pro gets infected?

    Re: VIRUS ON CHROMEOS?

Is a hard task for a virus do this... normally you encounter malware that can detect the virtual enviroment and behave in a non malicious way...but escape from the virtual OS and infect the Host machine... is not a common thing... there is some examples where this happened, normally by exploits in the virtualization software if I'm not wrong... but i never encountered someone infected in this way...
I believe this can only happen to you if you share a folder with the host machine... and execute a malware in the virtual OS, and it copy yourself to the Host...
