Vipre forces to uninstall Spybot-S&D

    hmm... I have Vipre installed already and after that I have installed Spybot S&D w/o any problem. But system hanged during the first update of Spybot S&D and I had to do use reset button. But after that it is running so smoothly. I am not using the teatimer.

    Honestly it looks like Sunbelt is doing everyone a favor since Spybot in its current form is no longer useful.

    VIPRE does not force the uninstall of any software. VIPRE warns that there are known compatibility issues with specific software. If it detects a specific software that is known to conflict then it would notify you and give you the option to uninstall it. However, you can just click the Next button instead of uninstalling.

    This feature is there just to inform you that there is likely a conflict with specific software and is intended to help prevent problems that could make the system unusable. This has nothing to do with marketing whatsoever and was actually a feature requested by our Support department (mainly me) as customers could previously install VIPRE alongside another anti-virus without seeing this warning and then obviously run into all sorts of trouble.
