Nope, Not in Antivirus Product. It is available just in Premium Product. I was a fan of their previous version where you can set it to handle unknown threat.
I cannot find it in the current version.

I wonder IF someone can do review on Vipre Antivirus (Not Premium) to test their proactive performance

    Thanks,

    HP

It doesn't? I hope the web-based protection feature is included in Vipre AV 5.0. :argh:

Sorry about that, cupez80, I'm new to Vipre. :) I've been living up in the clouds if you know what I mean. ;) :D

Too bad Sunbelt's Vipre is more like Webroot's Spysweeper + AV and PC Tools's Spyware Doctor with AV, I presumed they all using 3rd party AV engines, so what's Sunbelt's Vipre's engine?

It's an in-house self developed engine.

When you say that you make it sound bloated, wich is absolutely wrong.
And where did you get the info about the 3rd party engine? Wich is wrong also.

So does this contain a behavior blocker/monitor? I see from a prior post no web filtering.

According to PCMag and Softpedia, it does. But I do not see an option to configure it.

if you didn't, you should report it to support the next time it happens. they're very receptive and very helpful, and they like knowing when there are issues so they can be corrected.

Actually Sunbelt, PC Tools and Webroot all using 3rd party AV engine, they may have added some extra codes but actually source isn't belonged to them.

If I remember correctly he is partly correct but I gotta find the post here at Wilders. I remember reading something about that here at Wilders if I remember correctly.

CounterSpy originally at one point shared code with MS AntiSpyware looking back.

Yeah it was at the time GIANT (the malware of GIANT AntiSpy which became MS AntiSpy, which became Windows Defender) and they shared some of the malware database up till 2007 if I remember right. Since then the CounterSpy code was rewritten from what I read around the net.
