    Hi all folks.
I've been using Viber now for more then 1 year and i think it's a great app for text messaging and for calling to other phones all for FREE, everywhere in the world.

To call for free and to message everyone in the world for free your friend must have the Viber app.

    Anyone else been using it?

Nope, why bother when there are free apps like Pinger that supports real cellphone numbers?

I do use Line, but only for group chat with a gaming guild I'm in. It has a much higher limit of number of users in a group than other apps.

    Are you kidding me? :argh:

You want free outgoing calls worldwide to real phone numbers? Cause Pinger supports international SMS and incoming, which is more than enough. Plus anyone can install it and have a Pinger number.

But you want Viber for both parties instead for what superior features?

Who misunderstood who now? Pinger has free incoming from anywhere, free sms from/to anywhere, free outgoing to any US/Canada numbers (that includes the free Pinger numbers anyone anywhere can create). I only use Line for its superior group chat.

fine :) but Pinger can never beat Viber.

Only 172 291 using Ping but over 2 milion people are using Viber.
Visit google play and search for Viber, you'll see the info ;)

when installing Viber on mobile platform, make sure to disable Google Analytics (go to Settings). By default it's on.

    By default it's ON.

If you do not want your information to be part of this statistical information gathering, you can disable Google Analytics using the application settings; visit the 'More' screen, tap settings, then disable Google Analytics Collect Data option.

Viber is free to call and to send free text messages, but will there ever be a free call-video as well ?

Did anyone notice today's outage of Viber net? I'm asking as I don't know if it was an issue only in my country or in the worldwide scale.
