    Verizon 2010 Data Breach Investigation

I posted this link in this thread:
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=280052
I think it deserved a bit more of a headline:
    http://www.verizonbusiness.com/resources/reports/rp_2010-DBIR-combined-reports_en_xg.pdf
Umm 72 pages of fairly dense but well presented reading.
    There's a summary here:
    http://www.windowssecrets.com/2010/08/19/02-New-analysis-of-stolen-data-brings-surprises
    and
    http://isc.sans.edu/diary.html?storyid=9283

    >60% breaches detected by third parties.. !! ie when 'we' noted we had been compromised: totally unknown to vendor.
    :ouch:

Is the "Quantico Connection" included in the data breach report.
Apparently they (Quantico) have unlimited access to all Verizon traffic and Verizon records.
Now that is as data breach.
