Hi veracrypt allow users to format a hidden volume on thumbdrive but the problem is the entire thumbedrive would not allow storing of files with hidden volume. The entire thumbdrive is used for the container. Are there ways to do a hidden volume and allow storing of files on the thumbdrive. Users would use the drive as usual for storing files on putting in usb

Sure, just do a file based volume instead of a device based volume. eg. - Take a 16 Gig flash and create an 10 Gig file based volume with a hidden volume inside it. Place all other files on the outside of the the volume (6 Gig left). The 6 Gig outside of the encrypted volume can be used just the same as any other flash drive. Simple.

This comment is NOT addressing any security concerns with files outside of encrypted storage. It works in this config and many use such a setup.
