I'm trying to leave Windows all together. But I need to have some sort of Windows for my security cameras and a couple of other things that doesn't run on Linux yet.

Are there any videos or clear instructions on how to install VBox on Mint? The ones I've seen doesn't really help me out.

    Regards,

For Mint, VBox should be in the Ubuntu repository. So just install like any other package.

Then get the Extension Pack from https://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/5.2.8/Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-5.2.8.vbox-extpack Before the download starts, you'll get a prompt to run with VBox.

Alternately, you can get the appropriate Ubuntu VBox package from https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads But that sometimes leads to problems, which can be complicated to fix.
