    My software:

    Thunderbird (version 2.0.0.19)
NOD32 (newest version: v.4, only AV)
    OS: Windows XP SP3

When I receive mails (pop3), sometimes occurs a strange behavior.
For example, I get 3 mails, one of them is junk and I can see it in junk folder (though subject and body are blank).

The other ones not appears in any folder though my Inbox folder says "2 new mails", but my Inbox folder is empty!

I do "mark folder read" every time. It's annoying.

PD: I can read mails correctly. I think it's a NOD32 bug with spam/junk mails.
Not this issue with nod32 v3.

    Sorry for my poor english.

    Thank you.

Do you have single-core or multicore CPU?

Have you a cpu with HyperThreading(HT) technology ?
If your cpu supports HT is on or off.

I get a similar thing. I've used v4 through the beta, RC1 and now the full release and it is still happening (although only once in a while).

I think it is something to the anti-spam filters in Thunderbird and the Anti-Spam in the Eset. Thunderbird detects mail, Eset moves it to the junk folder/trash, but Thunderbird doesn't realise this has happened so thinks it's still in the inbox, hence it says "New Mail".

    I'm running AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+, WinXP Pro SP3, Eset SS v4.

I've clicked in "Inbox Properties" and afterward "Rebuild Index". The same action for Junk folder (Junk properties and rebuild index).

In my inbox now appears all the "lost messages". In my junk folder, too.
I'll see about this issue in the next days.

The same issue again and again. The lost messages appears only when I rebuild Inbox folder index :-(

But I don't use Eset SS. The AV solution don't detect spam mails.

It's not a SPAM problem, it occurs in EAV also.

I've been provided with EAV 4 build 414 to fix the issue, but it does not, I'm investigating further with the developers.
