if i set the dns setting @ modem/router level to another dns server, need i also set it to this dns server from windows' tcp/ip settings, where it allows you to manually enter dns server address? or setting it @ modem level will cover it, making it obsolete and/or needles to alter the windows' dns setting, leaving it set to default automatic mode?
    thanks & regards

Did you set those DNS servers manually in Windows before? If yes and they point elsewhere than to your router, then you obviously should change it there. If not, then you are getting those assigned via DHCP from the router and there no need to change anything.
