    Hello

    I have a 2 workstations license (v2.7)
I don't have a high speed connection to internet.
One computer connects to internet to download updates, then saves them to a local mirror. The second pc only connects to the local server (the internet connection is slow :( and can't be shared !).

    I read this post

I then tried to upgrade nod 32 to v3.0 (not the business version), and to set up a local server.
But the tab "mirror" is not available...

So my question is simple : is it possible to set up a lan server (mirror capability) with nod32 v3.0 home edition (not business edition !!) ?
If the answer is yes, please tell me how to do it...

ps : If the answer is no, I think I will stick with v2.7 :doubt:

Could somebody answer my question ?

Should I understand that the answer is obviously "no" ?
    Is NOD32 v3.x worse than v2.7 (less functionality !) ?

    Is this NOT true ?

I originallly thought that my question was an easy one... o_O

    Still no answer... :'(

    Conclusion :
    - poor support for v2.7 users
    - v3.x seems worse than v2.7 : NO lan mirror for home edition. You have to pay a lot more (business ed.) to gain access to this functionality.

    v2.7 -> v3.x = upgrading or downgrading ?!? :doubt:

Now I think I know the answer :(

you are correct, v3 home edition does not support mirroring.

You can't really compare the licensing directly to 2.7, as there were no home or business editions with 2.7.

    Thanks for answering

    I disagree.
    I originally bought a 2 workstations license (v2.7).
v2.7 allowed users to simply create a LAN mirror, with 2 or more workstations (of course you had to pay for each additional license).
Very usefull for a slow internet connection and a small network.

Obviously ESET has cancelled this option with v3.x : if you want to use a LAN mirror, you have to buy at least a 5 workstations license along with nod32 business version. Too much expensive and quite pointless for a home user like me.

I will stick with my old v2.7
If they ever force me to upgrade to v3.x or later, I will search for another antivirus solution... :'(
