Upgrading from Smart Security v3 to v4

Hi,

I'm about to go from Windows XP to Windows 7 (clean install). I am currently using v3 of Smart Security. Do i need to purchase a new license in order to use v4 or does my current license cover the upgrade?

Hello,

Your ESET Smart Security license is a license to use the product and not tied to a specific version. All you need to do is download ESET Smart Security v4 using your existing username and password license credentials, upgrade to Microsoft Windows 7 and install the copy of ESET Smart Security you just downloaded.

Since you have ESET Smart Security, you should enable pre-release mode in the software to download the latest updates. Instructions to do this can be found here in ESET's knowledge base.
