I have ESET NOD32 Antivirus Version 4.2.64.12 and my license is valid until 12/8/2012. I see ESET NOD32 Antivirus Version 5 is available. Am I eligible for a free upgrade ... if not how much is the upgrade? And, do I need to uninstall or just overwrite my present version? Thanks

Yes, you can always upgrade to the latest version using a valid license.

You can install version 5 on top of 4, but to minimize the chance of something going wrong, it's recommended to uninstall the earlier version first.

Is the upgrade free? I don't see info on the website.

    Why wouldn't v4's auto check install v5?

Eset has never pushed program updates automatically to my knowledge, just definition updates. For the most part that's fine because some updates have caused system instability in the past. I'd rather download it myself after I'm sure the bugs are worked out of it.
