Do you get this error when the computer is connected to the Internet and you click "Update now" ?

my computer is always connected to internet, I do not turn it off. Just sleep mode. I think I should reinstall it , I mean clean install. I got this error and I click update now and it does update, no problem.
I'm sorry I did not see that we have the same topic. I use W7.

after you start the pc from sleep or hibernation it takes a while to connect to the internet, during that time Smart Security tries to update and since no connection is established yet it fails, it successfully updates on the next scheduled check.

you can also do this, after you verify that you are connected to the internet, for example, by visiting a webpage, press the "update" button to see if it updates.

just to make sure, it still works.
