    Hi

wondered if anyone can help. The ESET server is not correctly downloading updates from ESET to the mirror folder.

On the server options updates tab I have

    Update Server Auto
    Update interval 60 min
    username
    password

    Update status

    NOD32 v2 mirror: downloading ENGINE2 61%

    Create Update mirror ticked
    \\sps1\NOD32mirror\

    Provide updates via HTTP ticked
    port 2221
    Authentication NON

Create update mirror for NOD32 V2 UNTICKED.

Any idea why its stuck on 61% especially with V2 unticed ?

    Hello,

Perhaps there's a network appliance (such as a firewall or content filter) that is interfering with the download of the update files. You could try going to tools > Server options > logging and changing the log verbosity to Level 5, then try updating again to see if there's any additional information in era.log regarding the delay.

Also, if you know there's a firewall/content filter, you could add rules in any network filtering device to allow all traffic on the RA server from era.exe to go through untouched. It should be using port 80.

    Thanks,

    Matt

What about creating the mirror in a local folder instead of a network share so that you don't need to specify credentials for connecting to the share?

I'm facing the same issue, updating from ERA Console v.4.0.138. This happens at 3 different locations, windows 2003 & windows 2008 servers. All of the locations have firewalls at the gateway.
I have tried allowing all traffic to *.eset.com, bypassing all security checks, but problem still persists. There is nothing in the logs, debug is enabled.
Any other suggestions to try ?
