    Hi,

Tested against OA premium beta 4.0.0.43 (advanced mode - whitelist and OASIS check deactivated), OA passes all tests :D
(sound record is not working on my comp)

    tested against GeSWall :
    Keylogging pass
    Webcam fail
    Screenshot pass only test 3
    Clipboard pass
    System protection pass
(sound record is not working on my comp)

    Tested against a-squared v4 (against malware-IDS component) :
    Only pass system protection

    regards,

    MaB

    @guest

    Thanks for the info :thumb:

    Took it for a drive.

Updated Zemana to the latest v1.9.2.203 and downloaded AntiTest.exe On completion Prevx jumped up with this

    sol-inf.gif

That's the first time Prevx has ever done this, maybe a new feature ? good though :thumb: and i chose Trust. What follows are screenies of the Zemana blocks.

    clip.gif

    key.gif

    sys-pro.gif

    t3.gif

As you can see even with v1.9.2.203 i can confirm it only passes Test 3 :(

I don't have a webcam or microphone plugged in, so didn't run those tests.

I expect Zemana will be aware of this test by now, and hopefully can address these issues soon ;)

OA passed all tests on my computer as well.

Additionally, I have OA configured to block all outbound connections except those specifically allowed by me. As I have often stated in other threads, stand-alone anti-keyloggers are a waste of money and a waste of computer resources.

the only stand-alone anti keylogger i know of wuld probly be Keyscrambler, since all the other products i know of have incorporated other modules as well to work more as a HIPS

bellgamin, the biggest waste (of time and resources) is reading sensless posts

Has anyone tried this test with KIS and Bluepoint?

I for one don't consider it a senseless post and I agree. The point of it is making people aware they really don't need to spend money on a program like this, when software they already have does the job.

    i tested, attached.
i am not sure OA can cover all screenlogging/keylogging methods.
Maybe OA+Spyshelter will better than OA.

i remember OA's previous version cant block SS anti-test tool. (if i am not wrong)

For KIS/Bluepoint user, is it unnecessary? i am not sure.
Are you sure everyone can use HIPS? i am not sure.

Actually, KIS fails* Screenlog Test2 and Test4 only (IIRC). Try opening the Virtual keyboard and testing or disabling automatic mode and modifying the Taking Screenshot HIPS rule for the group the leaktest is in (Low Restricted).

(*fails as in unaware of the screengrabbing method)

i just tested out of the box settings. (default settings)
maybe it can catch it with tweaked settings, i dont know.

i tested only screenshot logging. because other module dont updated since v1

Yes, I assumed that was the case, hence I pointed out that using the Virtual keyboard would produce different results even for default/automatic mode. By default KIS decides everything* in place of the user so no HIPS popups appear; a trade-off between usability and security. VK auto-blocks screen-grabbing from 3rd party apps by default.
Also, Safe-run= sandbox; sandboxes aren't supposed to block screen-grabbing. :)

Yup, I have as well. :)

    (* everything = 99.9 percent of cases)

I agree with that, if we are talking about OA. There is no need for anything else.

    Hi Brother,

I am not agree with you. See spending money on a program who's offering you a life time license which includes FREE upgrade to all future versions is worth then spending money on that program where you have to renew your license again and again.

I agree that program efficiency also do matter but what i have saw that "SpyShelter is Anti-Keylogger" and this product is doing a really good job. It may not be useful for some users but it there is also possible chances where it is useful for other users too.

So IMHO we should not comment like this. Rather we should appreciate the fellow member that he let all of us know about the product and its efficiency...

    Warm Regards

I guess we are discussing about SpyShelter, Not about OA. I don't know why we mix up the things?

I don't think that BluePoint have a strong HIPS? Last time i tested it with many malware and AKLT and it did failed..:doubt:

Wrong, we are talking about programs with strong key/screen/clipboard etc logging protection (compare programs with a test provided by Spyshelter).

I *think* that policy only applies to comparisons of antivirus programs.

I "Think" that this policy should be applied to all. This will definitely stop unnecessary argument b/w users.

People invoking the A v B should be banned, Mods will lock the thread if it needs to be, they don't need your vigilante crusade to proclaim A v B wherever you go. :ninja:
