Since update 8521, clients have been having problems updating on more than one of my servers. Has this happened to anyone else. I cleaned the files from the directory below and reran the mirror update and it resolved the issue, but I am hoping I don't start getting a bunch of calls about this.

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ESET\ESET Remote Administrator\Server\mirror

    hello chrisf,

Thanks for the info about this issue. It seems that update 4521 was the one causing some issues like the one you ran into. The solution is to clear the mirror folder like you suggested and update to the latest definitions.

Hi there. I'm having this same problem with update 4521 for a client of mine. I clear the same update mirror directory, but when trying to update I get 'Creating mirror failed, Error downloading, c(0x4),' and the date and time. Everything has been working perfectly up until now, no config changes have been made. Am using RA Console v3.0.105.

Same here, deleted all the contents of the /updfiles folder and updated with "clear update cache" checked. Same error again.
Some of our customers are becoming annoyed by the situation.

    What else to try?

    Thanks

UPDATE: magically solved in my local server, but not on mi client's  What should I do?

Does anyone have an update on this? It appears that I've also been unable to get clients to update past 4520.

Disregard: After clearing the mirror cache like in the OP, everything is updating fine now.

Update: Well, NOD32 has updated to update 4537, and seems to be updating the machines which replicate off the server - but there's still the same 'creating mirror failed' error in the RA. Puzzling, no? o_O

Edit: Updated to the latest RA Server and Console version, and all was well.

If you encounter this problem, please back up the content of the mirror folder and tick "Clear update cache" in the ERAS setup. Once you have done that, let me know and I'll send you further instructions where to convey the backed up mirror content.
