Update From Mirror Issue

Hi All,

I'm currently implementing a NOD32 Mirror with NOD32 2.7 Control Center.

I'm facing a strange issue. All clients are unable to update the virus database from the Mirror HTTP server.

Port configured 8088 is not used by another program
Folder containing update is configure to give read access to everybody (Domain users etc...)

I don't really find a way to fix this, maybe a configuration error I made but I don't really understand where and why..

Does anybody can help my to figure this out?

Have you configured mirror correctly?
did you set up the HTTP server ( http://your_server:8088)?
Have you configured clients update servers to point to mirror ?
Did you check if the mirror folder actually contain update files?
If you connect clients to mirror via http server, you do not have to put username and password .

Yes the server is, I think, configured correctly,

http://my_server:8088

When I try to connect to it with mozilla I've a error 404.

Clients are pointing on the good server.

Mirror Folder is containing all latest updates

Client aren't asking for Username/password, they simply told me that no updates are available...

The virus data base from the mirror is from today so 3249 ( 20080708 ) but client are, with my test computer, 3225 ( 20080629 ). I made the last update of my test computer from the internet eset's servers.

I've no return of errors or connections issue, client simply told "The installed Virus signature database is current."

Do I need to share the local folder containing update files?

Version of clients?
If you using ver 3.0 as a mirror, you cannot update v 2.7 clients or vice verse.

Need to find the v3.0 updater now. Because Eset's dowload center only provide 2.70.3 Lan Updater software. Any Idea ?

I found this in the help files.

Configuration options of the local server mirror are accessible in the Advanced update setup section (to access this section, go to the advanced setup tree in ESET NOD32 Antivirus Business Edition, select the option Update > click on the Setup… button next to Advanced update setup and select the Mirror tab).

Every NOD 3.0 bussines edition can be a mirror. If you purchase license for the number of your clients, than put the license in license tab.
After that you should see " mirror" tab under advanced actualization settings.
Without installing the license, the " mirror" tab does not exsist.
