UnThreat Free Takes 20Min to Apply 2.61 MB Update

Yesterday i installed a fresh copy of Windows XP on my Spare Hard Disk!!
I wanted to try something new and needed some basic protection so i installed Unthreat Antivirus Free!!
Installed it, update it from .sgn file (Because i am on slow internet) had to restart 2 times!!! after restarting the AV looked running just fine!! So i did online update. 2.61 MB downloaded and then came the worst part, it just keeps showing Applying Update and during this time my system was lagging heavily!! (Its AMD A6-3500(3 cores), 2GB RAM 500GB+250GB HD). So there shouldn't be any problem!!! And finally took around 20 Min to install the 2.61MB update
Has anybody else went through the same situation?
I am going to give this AV a try for few days and going to see how does this work
Personally I liked the vipre AV, But there were some problems which kept me away from it!! Lets see what happens with this One!!

Switching to Avast free or AVG Free or even MSE!!

 

Or even better, Roboscan.

 

Never had that problem with unthreat when I tried it.However as Alex pointed out of pauls thread of unthreat is a big turn off and will not be using it again.

 

what the heck is UnThreat? Never heard of it
