    Hi Wilders...

Currently running what I believe to be a tight security set-up. In my arsenal I have Online Armor and today while reviewing the 'Programes' functionality (i.e those programmes you have allowed to run on your computer), the list included a slew of .exe files which I am at a loss to understand (a) what they are and (b) how I have given them permission to run.

Can somebody elucidate ?....are they malware ?....are they safe files ? Do I have a problem ?:doubt:

    The list includes :

    xlicons.exe
    outicon.exe
    pptico.exe.
    wordicon.exe......

A response would be greatly appreciated.:doubt:

Do you have Microsoft Office installed on your machine? Those files seem to be related to microsoft office.

wordicon.exe seems to be microsoft word.

Is this of any help to you?

The files belong to Microsoft Office programs, nothing to do with whether you've used it already or not. The files are not malicious in any way.

Thanks nadirah....just a little puzzled as to why they have suddenly/recently appeared in the Online Armor's list of 'ok' programs.

Probably, it was during a start menu scan performed by the safety check wizard :)
