Unknown DB files

    Recently some DB Thumb files have appeared in Explorer. I have no idea what they are as i have not looked at any thumbs. I am unable to open them. I tried a DB Thumb file opener but they will not open.......nor can i delete them o_O

    Thanks Ron, but did not work and i don't like it. I believe i have a Trojan although Dr Agent was found and removed ( i think ). As i said i have not looked at any Thumbs that i am aware of, so i am uncomfortable about these things appearing and not opening for me to take a look o_O

    Have you chosen to show show hidden operating system files on your computer?

    Vista may use those thumb db files and I don't believe they are harmful.

    Yes, but still shows me nothing. Two of the six folders contain 1.00 MB.

    You could post a log here http://forum.aumha.org/ if you believe you have a problem.

    I believe Vista uses thumb db files as a part of the operating system though.

    I would like a few people who are using Vista to see if they are seeing this behavior on their machines. Thank you.

    I found a few thumbs.db files on my drives, but I was able to easily delete them.

    If youre worried about these files, you can just disable thumbnail caching/viewing.
