University recruiting scandal

    CU's Tharp resigns

    Embattled University of Colorado athletic director Dick Tharp resigned today after a chaotic year in which CU's football team was accused of using sex and alcohol to recruit high school players and of raising money from a booster group without the knowledge of campus administrators.

    "In the current state of distrust, ... healing might be better achieved by my resignation," Tharp wrote in his letter of resignation."

    Wer'nt sports developed in schools to promote fair play and friendly competition and help them walk the straight and narrow. well what the heck happened o_O
