I'm using Universal restore to restore an image from one PC to the other.

They;'re both OEM dells, do I still need to use the SID tool to reset the key and reactivate windows using the key that belongs to the new PC? how would this work since its an OEM.

So far windows is not asking me to activate, but MS Office is. Doesn't MS Office activation tie the key down to the hardware config? my guess here is I wont be able to activate it...

    But I"m confused about windows....

    Hello Tim_chase01,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We are sorry for delayed response.

Please notice that when migrating to a different computer, software activation problems can be usually resolved by contacting the respective software provider.

    Thank you.
