unable to update

    Hi,
    Using Spywareguard V2.2.0
    Update function not working for last 4 days.
    Error says "unable to get update information file from server. The server may be temporarily unavailable, or there may be a conflict with firewall software installed on your pc. The update information file may have also gotten corrupted during download".
    I have disabled firewall, deleted cookies and files from browser, and finally, uninstalled and reinstalled Spywareguard. None of these attempts have worked.
    Anyone else having this problem?

    Actually, at the moment there is a server problem with the Javacool updates server, so that error is correct. :doubt:

    We expect it to be fixed in a few hours.

    I have been getting the same message for 4 days though. Has the sight been having problems that long?

    Unfortunately, it's all server and DNS related, and we're waiting for the issue to be resolved. Just a matter of time - but how much time, we can't say yet. :doubt:

    I think this is good time to update the Installer to include up-to the most recent definitions, and also is there page to download the most recent definitions to be applied?

    Since the primary SG update server is down (as it still is at this hour), :( are there any alternate sites for updates such as exist for the program itself?

    I'm not getting too nervous yet, but this does make me sweat just a bit- especially after some of the massive attacks many forums and sites have had to fight off lately. More and more kooks and thieves are pounding at the gates every day, and they're up to no good. ;)

    Might MajorGeeks or any of the other alternate program download sites be able to provide updates? That would take the pressure off, at least somewhat.

    Things are being set up and improved upon, for sure. ;)

    People are slowly getting back access to the website as their ISPs update to the latest (correct) information. If you don't have access back in another day or two, please let me know. :)

    Since SpywareGuard updates are very seldom, I don’t see why its Installer doesn't get updated to include the most recent definitions…

    I install SpywareGuard using minimum installer and I access SpywareGuard main screen I see

    Definitions Date: 8/30/03
