    Hello,

I'm using Acronis True Image version 8.0 (build 786) on Windows 98.

Using build 763 I created Bootable CD (full) so as to be able to
restore disk-image partions off of a USB drive. Upon booting the USB
disk was visible but appeared empty and couldn't be selected (ie the
"Next" UI button was disabled). I submitted a bug-report on this.

I upgraded to build 786 (the latest) and created a new boot disk.
This time the USB drive did not show up at all in "Restore Image" when
using the boot disk. When I attempted to run "AcronisReport.exe" it
crashed after dumping a couple of lines of text (see below) with the
    message:
    A fatal exception OE has occurred at 0028: c0004D6D in VXDVMM(o1) +
    0000 3D6D.
The current application will be terminated.

If I boot in the normal way I am able to access the saved disk-image
partions via "Explore Image" etc. This is comforting but without being able
to restore from an external drive the product is worthless to me.

Has anyone experienced this problem and/or can offer me suggestions.

    Thanks,

    Craig Steury

I have the same problem using TI8 build 786, but am using Windows XP SP2. True Image 7, build 638, also does not see USB drives during restore.
