Unable to install ESS Home V4.0.417

    Hi I was working with a customer onsite when I downloaded a trial of ESS Home Edition V4.0.417. When I double clicked the installer, an error message popped up. I didn't write it down, but it was something along the lines of "Unable to install application. Please contact the vendor to ensure this is a valid installation file."

    This is a fresh Windows install, fully patched and up to date. I was able to install Avast in the meantime, but the customer still wants ESS.

    Any ideas?

    It's possible the download was corrupt (incomplete)

    did you select the correct version (32bit vs 64bit)?

    Turned out to be a corrupt download, thanks.
