    I have created the seven and three disk boot floppys and they both stall on the second floppy. Hitting any key does not execute the floppy.

    Hello jtheb,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    Please make sure that you use the latest build (937) of Acronis True Image 8.0 which is available at: http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/support/updates/

    To get access to updates you should create an account at:
    http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/my/
    then log in and use your serial number to register your software.

    Please create new Bootable Rescue Media (CD or pack of floppies) after installing the update, boot your PC from this CD\floppies and see if the problem still persists.

    If the problem still persists with the latest build (937) of Acronis True Image 8.0 then please describe the issue in more words.

    As I have understood you created both "full" and "safe" versions of Acronis Bootable Rescue Media. Is that correct?

    Have you received any error messages? What exact error messages?

    Tell me when exactly the boot process stops.

    Please describe actions taken before the problem appears step-by-step.

    Thank you.

    I have the latest version...........and build
    I used new floppies for both bootups..
    I have done the create floppy exercise twice with the same results.
    The first floppy executes fine.
    The second floppy does not. The green light comes on in the reader when the floppy loads but it will not execute and just hangs. There is no error message.
    And I have to do a Ctrl-alt-delete to reboot.

    Hello jtheb,

    Could you please do the following?

    - Create bootable rescue diskettes;

    - Open the bootwiz.cfg file on the first diskette;

    - Remove the "quiet" keyword from the last line;

    - Try to boot the computer from the bootable rescue diskettes;

    - As the startup messages stop scrolling please write down the last few lines of the output, or use a digital camera to make shots of the output screens and send the captured information to us.

    Please also create Acronis Report in the way described below:

    - Download and run Acronis Report Utility;

    - Select the "Create Bootable Floppy" option;

    - Insert a blank floppy disk in the A: drive and proceed with creation of the bootable floppy;

    - Boot the computer from this diskette and wait for report creation process to finish;

    - Collect the report file from the floppy;

    Send all the collected files and information to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    Thank you.
