Hope so. Seems like uMatrix fell behind UBlockOrigin way to soon. I preferred them both. Currently using UBlock though.
@gorhill, do you consider inserting a fix into 1.40 or 1.41b6 based on the changes in ematrix 4.4.9? https://github.com/vtriolet/writing...ock_origin_and_umatrix_denial_of_service.adoc
I think you mean: uMatrix 1.4.1b6 Yes, this fix can be applied. I manually applied the changes in this pull request from the nuTensor project to the file `./src/js/main-blocked.js`. These are the same changes as the ones made to the source of uBO (`./src/js/document-blocked.js`). Then build the .xpi. However, this .xpi can only be installed in Firefox Nightly, Developer Edition or ESR with xpinstall.signatures.required set to false. See: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/k...want-to-use-an-unsigned-add-on-advanced-users For Chrome/Chromium: Load unpacked.
thank you, i grab it and compare both. anyhow i can sign myself, changes and commitments from umatrix are inserted. but i dont have a test page for the fix, and i do not use any lists, only my rules. ok, here is the Addon-page, that fix is not included yet, you need to wait. https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/nutensor-unofficial/ i inserted all fixes and commitments and going to sign it now (no distribution)
How do I proceed to sign an extension? [Edit] I found: https://extensionworkshop.com/documentation/publish/signing-and-distribution-overview/ Way to complicated for me... And is that extension made by you?
i need a page, not a code but https://jsfiddle.net/ firefox is spiking for some seconds and then quiet.
uMatrix 1.4.2 Released (July 19, 2021) Download - 1.4.2 - Firefox (AMO) Download - 1.4.0 - Chrome (Web Store)
Haha! After hours of trial and error, I finally managed to sign and install my custom build of nuTensor and soon after that the new fix of uMatrix was released. Thanks @gorhill Enabled it again. At least I know this is trustworthy.
uMatrix 1.4.4 Released (July 20, 2021) Download - 1.4.4 - Firefox (AMO) Download - 1.4.4 - Chrome (Web Store)
Oh HECK YEAH! So glad to have uMatrix back again. It's looking strong on the new Chrome 92 release. Thank You Thank You @gorhill. Home Run!
Today my uMatrix 1.4.3b0 updated to 1.4.4 and as a consequence of that, the option "reveal canonical names" was gone... (doesn't work on Chrome/Chromium btw) Reverted to 1.4.3b0. I don't understand why that feature hasn't made it to stable.
I goggled, uh, googled it and it seems this was a dangerous typo squatting domain in the past. uBlock Origin blocks it as well (found in Spam404): See: https://malwiki.org/index.php?title=Goggle
If i remember right, that minor mispelled word of google unleashed a heck of a pile of malware back on XP on me. Yes you are so right @nicolaasjan - some things stick in our crawl a lifetime. That was one of them. Odd it's still an oddball addy url even now.
Yeah, now it redirects to: Code: https://goggle.proasdf.com/v3/s?c=&s=oc-0&d=&k=general.global_btc&r=&t=1&u=32441b4d-583b-4de2-b414-095564c5a004&v=&x=&y=&z=&pz=eu&f=0&tk=802565ca03879e923aa8e093615b1f3f&q=general.global_btc.q00_age_gender :
you have to add the cname rule manually again, i guess so. google.com entry has been fixed, its not present here.
Tried that, but it didn't work (disappeared after saving)... Code: cname-reveal: * true Try for example on reddit.com. It should show the CNAME "reddit.map.fastly.net". It shows on 1.4.3b0, but not on 1.4.4
thats bad, sorry. i still had no time to have a look at all, maybe it's possible to integrate again. just looking at hashes, 1.4.2/1.4.3b0 are follower of 1.4.1b6, 1.4.4 is follower of 1.4.0. thats why you cannot use that feature. 1.4.1b6 also cannot show this, but reddit.map.fastly.net is shown in the matrix v1.4.1b6.
