UCheck - Update your software in 2 clicks

I also installed v4.10.2. UCheck does not tell me that an update for AdwCleaner is available, which is correct, but why does it appear in red in the list of compatible apps? And yes, AdwCleaner is also the only portable app here that appears in the list for me.

 

Depends on settings, not in my case.

Btw, Real VNC update not detected by UCheck (7.6.0 > 7.6.1)

 

Because it's portable (it's not red, it's pink ). The color is subject to change in a near future

 

Yeah, we'd rather rely on Windows Updates for that kind of things. Detect OK, but not update, too dangerous.

Here's an overview of the upcoming "Community feedback".

They're going to be displayed under a "gray-ish" color, because they're not fully supported. No download/install links either. Only thing you can do is to google it and download the installer manually (I may override the "Open website" to a Google search instead)

 

@Tigzy Could you then please offer an "Open website" to e.g. DuckDuckGo search also? Or make the searchengine changeable in setting please.

What does "not fully supported" exactly mean? I just want UCheck to tell me when an update is available and I will then download and install the app manually anyway.

Also it doesn't have all the fancy GDPR stuff below inside of it:

This version uploads your programs' list to our server (Program name, version, publisher). There's no way to turn it off (in this version).
So if you don't agree with this, please stick to the latest release build from the official channels.

Please do some scans to populate the database, and see if everything works properly.
After enough people have sent their list, and if enough people have the same software, those will be promoted and you will see them in "Gray" inside Installed tab.
If you version is outdated, you will also see an item into "Updates" tab.

OK... I thought that was the case.

I have a suggestion. I have hidden Microsoft products from the Installed list. However, the updates are still showing on the Updates list. Can the program be changed to not show them on the Updates list if they are hidden from the Installed list?

UCheck mixes up "Edge" with "Edge Update"

 

Is there any way that I can remove something from the Updates list? The updates for things I don't care about, such as Microsoft products, just clutters up the list. So now it shows I have 5 updates, but they are all Microsoft products.
