    Best for visualization.
Still an error with Hard_Configurator being displayed 2 times.
But too many unsupported softwares than supported.

    Hi @Tigzy :

I'm currently testing UCheck Free Portable BETA v5.0.5.0 (downloaded from your 08-Nov-2023 post # 843) and I am having problems excluding two executables (32-bit and 64-bit copies of Microsoft's bcdboot.exe) that come bundled with my Dism++ v10.1.1002.1 Portable app. Note: the authors GitHub page is at https://github.com/Chuyu-Team/Dism-Multi-language.

When I unzip the Dism++10.1.1002.1B.zip file on a removable USB stick in a folder called E:\Portable\Dism 10_1_1002_1 and delete all the unnecessary executables I have three executables remaining - the main Dism++x64.exe (v10.1.1002.1) and the 32-bit and 64-bit bcdboot.exe files (v10.0.10586.0) named "Microsoft Windows Operating System".

I can sort the Installed tab of UCheck by LOCATION and then right-click and exclude the two bcdboot.exe files ...

UCheck v5_0_5_0 BETA Settings Exclusions MS Windows OS bcdboot_exe 09 Nov 2023.png

... but when when I close and re-launch UCheck these two bcdboot.exe files are no longer excluded. To date I haven't had this problem with any other files I've tried to exclude.

This is the path where Hard_Configurator is installed by default.
There is only one exe, besides the shortcut (always entered by default from the installation setup):

Sorry I wasn't clear what does UCheck show if you scroll the results all the way to the right under "location" for these two detections?

    That is the error.
It shows the 2 uninstall exe,not the H_C exe.

Would you mind posting a screenshot?
Looks like the detection has the same name for the application as also the uninstaller hence the "duplicate" name

    P.S.

Also missing is the detection of Configure Defender, but it would be (to me) not too bad if it is detected correctly Hard_Configurator.

Okay those are both uninstallers, I think @Tigzy wrote they where going to pre-filter those out in a later build as it doesn't make sense to list uninstallers.
What is strange though is that ONLY those two are detected in that folder, from the other screenshot (folder list) it shows more exe's which are not shown here.

Which folder did you add to UCheck custom locations?

    C:\Windows\Hard_Configurator

Others are detected but they are of no importance compared to the 2 I have already written to you.

Then how can I keep only one autoruns entry in my installed list and remove the other 6. I really don't need 6 entries for autoruns. I think you really should be looking at the file name also.

No offense; you do not understand. When I get home each day I open a series of softwares on my PC similar to UCheck, let them all check for updates automatically and come back later when they are complete. I have to manually tell UCheck to scan which is annoying. The one that takes the longest (Sumo, now UCheck) will sit there not checking until I interact. Please just add a toggle like SUMO had that scans on startup of UCheck. If you would like the software running as it currently does and not scan when you load UCheck, great, disable the option. If like many of the others making the request, you'd like it to scan on UCheck start, great, enable the option. It is definitely possible.

    Yup I agree !

I avoid having apps that run in the background to keep all processing for VMs I having running during my day to day activity. I too would appreciate that when I start UCheck it scans automatically.

Not everyone likes to have many thing that run all the time.
We prefer to start an app when we need and close it when we don't.

So, yes, if UCheck did a scan uppon starting it, it would be great.

    Now that being said
@Tigzy , we GREATLY appreciate all the efforts you guys are putting into it !!!
And the fact that each day for the past month and half, you keep answering all of us !!!
Hats off to you guys !!!

For all of us, let's give them a break, they can't do everything in just a few weeks... :):):)

There is no doubt about all the effort that is being made "every day" to improve ucheck. I am very grateful for it.

Much encouragement to continue like this.

Could you hover on the Warning icon see what it says ? I bet that's a duplicate. Could you look into Installed tab what kind of duplicates you have for Google Drive ?
