    1) Direct install no longer possible (I think it was in an earlier BETA version?)
    2) Version is wrong detected

It may have been removed due to inactivity. I don't see it in the database today

We'll fix the version. These buttons work in this order: Download, THEN install. Or you can use "Update".

    You need version 5.0.4 :)
EDIT: If you want to test a different version, you first need to make sure the installed one isn't running in the tray first, and exit it (no need to uninstall) entirely.

    Hi Tigzy:

Are you still planning to expand the list of portable apps detected by UCheck beyond AdwCleaner? If so is there an online request form that users can submit to have their portable app(s) added to that list?

I do understand this, however it would be a niche feature. I'd rather have this implemented later, by priority.
We are going to open a bug tracker soon so that you could all submit ideas, and vote for them.

It's partially true. Some supported apps do use fileversion, but for that they need to know where the program is, and what binary to take.
It's not a Windows issue, it's each program's installer's responsibility to update the Uninstall registry key when they update.

It is sorted by name by default, but if you change this it will be remembered for next start.

Yes it's removed. We are submerged by tickets and cannot respond to that now.
The only thing that will lead new programs' implementation is the community data, we'll take the most seen first.

Do you still have issues with Community data, do you see some entries ? Cloud config should be enabling it currently

I also would like the possibility to check an individual software
Use case: in SUMo I would update an app and then do an app check to see that SUMo now sees it has been update and go forward app by app

Other then that GREAT APP !!!

    Bonne journée @Tigzy

This is 5.0.4.0 from post #640

    upload_2023-11-7_15-21-2.png

This is latest 5.0.4.0 from official homepage

It's REALLY confusing that same version numbers are different. You should really consider about the version numbers!

I understand that, but our way of doing is this: PROD 1.1, BETA 1.2 ======== PROD 1.2, BETA 1.3 , and so on.
I can add a -BETA to the title if you want.

This is scheduled, but it's a big of a change so it'll take some time.

We've a ticket to reduce notifications, but you can also turn them off in Settings.
Regarding updates already installed, can you elaborate ?

Yes, as I said earlier, if we were to chase down all the FPs in the community database I'd need to hire 10 people full time...
Unfortunately you'll have to live with it for some time, especially since we're working on integrating Portable apps and fixing everything listed here.
(And holy crap there's a lot to catch up...)

FYI, Installation path missing isn't an issue, that's how those programs register themselves.

I believe this is the other way around. I have the "Update" button on latest installed version...
