    No it's "Update" and "Download". There's the new option...

    That is the purpose of the cache (see in settings). Maybe we'll rename it to something else, but download only is a different feature than updating.
    Also if you don't replace the outdated binary you'll see the update showing up over and over again.

    Are you talking about portable or installed software ? With community updates you should see a lot more detected programs

    That's OK because it's community updates:
    Code:
    revo uninstaller pro
    vs revo group, ltd.
    5.2.0
    2023-10-26 07:29:02

    Could you show me how the version is detected ? It shouldn't be possible to show outdated with an newer version.

    That's because there's no data in community updates. For example "freefilesync" has only users under 13.0
    Same for ntlite:

    Regarding Chrome, we use official API. I believe SUMo is showing a BETA.
    https://versionhistory.googleapis.c...table/versions/all/releases?filter=fraction=1

    Code:
    {
          "name": "chrome/platforms/win/channels/stable/versions/118.0.5993.89/releases/1697739181",
          "serving": {
            "startTime": "2023-10-19T18:13:01.035550Z",
            "endTime": "2023-10-24T20:58:19.318630Z"
          },
          "fraction": 1,
          "version": "118.0.5993.89",
          "fractionGroup": "69"
        },

    There must be something wrong with your data collection. On SUMo, FreeFileSync currently has 220 out of its 227 total users on 13.0 (13 Sep 23, 30 users) or 13.1 (23 Oct 23, 190 users). I have been on these latest versions since the day they came out and have had my PC scanned by UCheck numerous times in the interim.

    Correct, it doesn't show "Outdated". This is what UCheck tells me:
    Status: Latest
    Version: 5.2.1 (which is the latest version and therefore correct)
    Latest: 5.2.0 (which is wrong because v5.2.0 is not the latest version)

    Well it's not wrong in terms of dataset. It's wrong in absolute, but that's a matter of data, not a bug in the software...

    On SUMo, 918 users are currently on Chrome 118.0.5993.118, 57 users on .117 and 99 users on .89 (which UCheck thinks is the latest update). .118 is the latest stable channel update for desktop (and not BETA) as verified by my check for update within Chrome on my PC or as indicated in the following 24 Oct 2023 announcement from the Chrome team: https://chromereleases.googleblog.com/search/label/Desktop Update

    I don't consider it a bug in the software, but the dataset is clearly wrong because v5.2.0 is not the "latest" version.

    I looked at the database, and there's 30,000+ telemetry feedbacks pending to be processed.
    In clear the current implementation isn't able to ingest all the data that is sent to us :argh:
    I'll see if I can speed things up, and make the ingestion faster than the collection...

    Yes this explains the delay for promotion.
    EDIT: Ok the problem was even simpler, it was NOT removing processed feedbacks :/
    EDIT2: It's flowing in back again :)

    EDIT3: There's Kodi
    Code:
    (Production) INFO: (Community) kodi just got promoted: (20.1.0.0 => 20.2.0.0)

    The only fix I could bring up for now is using this page, that has 117 as latest... https://versionhistory.googleapis.com/v1/chrome/platforms/win/channels/stable/versions/all/releases
    I think it's self heal by iself when the "fraction" (I think it's deployment ratio) hits big enough value

    Please beware that SUMO might have a much bigger user base then the current UCheck having Community set to enabled.

    I think the focus should be more on "bugs" then on the race who discovered the latest version within x hours.
    Once more users start using/contributing the thresholds are hit earlier and the detection/speed of new versions will go up.
