I'd say features and functionality before eye candy. But I understand your visual ocd.
I do too has some minor issues - for example I tend to place my extensions on a right hand side using puzzle toolbar.
And sometimes when a page has a lot of domains and requests, the scrollbar on the right of umatrix interface is barely visible, very difficult to grab.
So yeah probably some interface issues of both extensions could be polished a little, but I'd rather the developer focus on features etc

You guys like the current ublock origin icon?

Instead of uo, u inside O would be better in IMHO.

We could debate about a simple icon till the end of times, but all people really want is a great working product, which uBlock° is.

I agree. Icon was a little "strange" to me at the beginning, but I got used to it and don't even notice how it looks any more.

uMatrix icon needs a refresh to make it more inline with ublock origin IMO.

I agree, I dont like the icon either.

    On the topic of umatrix,
in firefox signed extensions have been implemented. ublock origin has been signed, but umatrix has not.
if i understand this correctly, after a couple of weeks non-signed extensions will be blocked from firefox. Is that true?

@gorhill, can You submit umatrix for signing to mozilla amo?

I tried all of these individually but still did not get the result you had. The pop-up tab still loaded unhindered.

  12. http://film-stream.org/ is blocked (could be blocked because i only allow scripts from NL and COM)
    http://www.aznotizie.com/ does not prompt a pop-up ??

    You must enable "film-stream.org".
Without the website does not work properly.

    Thanks, Sampei!

That would explain it, of course.

Is it okay to use the disconnect malware filters in uBlock Origin if I use all of the malware filters in Umatrix? I use uBlock Origin and uMatrix together and I have it set where uMatrix handles all of the host stuff and where uBlock Origin handles all of the cosmetic filtering and adblocking list(basically set up like Gorhill recommends you can see my signature) so my question is will Umatrix and uBlock conflict?

When you "Whitelist" a site in uBlock Origin, I assume it disables all 3rd-party filters as well -- right?

Right, choosing the green color cell will whitelist it, effectively disabling static filtering on it.

If the two are set up as suggested here then there should be no problems.

  18. So what was supposed to happen with http://www.aznotizie.com/ ?

Thank you. I had read that before I understand now, I was just thinking if <insert-here.com> was in say malware domains list for uMatrix and the same one was in disconnects uBlock Origin maybe it would conflict but it would not because it is not the same list, I got it now thank you very much.:thumb:;)

Actually, I was referring to Whitelisting the entire site, not just individual cell items.

Whatever's whitelisted (green) will bypass static filtering.

It's the fact the hidden embedded code unexpectedly opens the aznotizie page in a new tab, and it's not prevented from doing so.

I believe so. Firefox version 39 or according to their release schedule June 30th. But I remember reading somewhere that unsigned extensions will still work for 2 version leases but with a warning however i may be mistaken.

for 2 versions? jeez, thats like 2 weeks, with that new 'release as fast as possible' mozilla policy ;)

There is a third option, and its what I did. Copy the link for disconnect domains from ublock, and paste it into umatrix ;)
    seems to work

I noticed that uBlock0 is preliminarily reviewed in AMO and available as 0.9.8.1.1-signed. Good! Oddly, the Chrome web store still has v. 0.9.7.5 although gorhill released 0.9.8.0 three days ago and 0.9.8.1 two days ago.
