Trying to UNBLOCK a uBlock Origin 'My filters' for Search Filters popup box on YouTube.
On YouTube you'll see right below (Sign in) Filters. When you click on Filters a dialog box
    pops up with different headings:
    Upload | date | Type | Duration | Features | Sort by

A Cosmetic filter in 'My Filters' is preventing the YouTube Filters popup from being shown.

Anyone know what uBO Filter(s) BLOCKS YouTube search filters?

    @Compu KTed,
I didn't have anything in uBO 'My filters' that blocked the YouTube 'Filters' option.
When on YouTube I use uBO element picker mode to block the YouTube 'Search filters' popup box, this is the filter rule that blocks the popup box:
    www.youtube.com##tp-yt-paper-dialog.ytd-popup-container.style-scope
However, it blocks the YouTube 'Filters' option altogether, not only the 'Search filters' popup box but the 'Filters' button as well.

Thanks Stupendous. I did a little diggin' at 'My Filters' in uBO and found this:
    Code:
    www.youtube.com##tp-yt-paper-dialog.ytd-popup-container.style-scope > .ytd-popup-container.style-scope
Looks like a very similar or same filter that accomplishes the same thing.

Of course it also depends on how one sets cosmetic filtering in uBO as well.
    no-cosmetic-filtering: http://www.youtube.com true
    or
    no-cosmetic-filtering: http://www.youtube.com false

Did disabling that filter rule do the trick to unblock the YouTube 'Search filters' popup box?

Yes, by removing that filter rule from uBO My filters I'm able to click on Filters and now the
Search filters box appears on Youtube.

Certain sites won't work at all in Firefox incognito mode without manually turning off Enhanced Tracking Protection; e.g., Yandex image search. It's probably due to Firefox's lack of redirecting/neutering scripts, which uBO has. (In fact, I use a special uBO block list just for Yandex ads and tracking.)

    Added list of filters:

    • AdGuard – Popup Overlays
    P.S.

    Filter list removed.
I extracted the 5 rules for not displaying pop-ups on YT.
The pop-up that bothered me the most was the one in the bottom left corner "Use Chrome":

    Code:
    youtube.com##.yt-mealbar-promo-renderer
    youtube.com##tp-yt-iron-dropdown[class="style-scope ytd-popup-container"][horizontal-align="right"]
    youtube.com##.ytd-single-option-survey-option-renderer
    youtube.com##ytd-popup-container[class="style-scope ytd-app"] > iron-dropdown[force-close-on-outside-click="true"]
    youtube.com##ytd-popup-container > iron-dropdown .ytd-popup-container[position-type="OPEN_POPUP_POSITION_BOTTOMLEFT"]

Both the test and the use of µBOL in Brave are nonsense. Brave's built-in ad blocker is far superior.

    Ah - I didn‘t know that Brave‘s adblocker has, e.g., Dynamic Filtering and a powerful logger :rolleyes::D
But yes - that testsite is nonsense as mentioned multiple times in this thread.

No it doesn't, but neither does µBOLite.

Sorry, I misread that. Yes, using uBOLite in Brave makes no sense. Using uBO does.

    Just a question.
How do I update that Brave's built-in Ad Blocker?

    UBO 1.55.0 works very well.
The browser also seems more responsive to me in the various websites.

If I understand your question correctly, the answer is no.
My filter lists are still the usual ones.:)

same here, no change, only some compacting of general rules. nevertheless need ublock some more time to get ready since several versions (when the lists changes).

Yes, by using medium or hard mode. See also the discussion here. That said, you can disable all protections is Noscript and leave only the XSS protection enabled.

OK thanks, pretty cool. This makes me wonder if Mandiant used uBlock or NoSript on the hacked PC, probably not.
