Well, the warning is present here also.
    ubo untrusted sources my filters.PNG
Same thing as you: Firefox 119.0 and uBO 1.53.0. The warning SHOULD be there; it's in the changelog under "interface."

Did you reinstall it yet? I periodically back up my settings in case I have to reinstall, esp. from the Mozilla store.

Maybe has to do with the version of Firefox one is using.
Here is a screenshot of Firefox ESR 115.4.0 with uBO 1.53.0.

No text message shown in "My filters".

Regarding the line "Do not add filters from untrusted sources",
    apart from different Firefox versions,
another difference I can think of is whether there are added filter rules in "My filters". I don't know if that makes any difference. I have filter rules in "My filters".

    Besides that,
I did not change any value(s) in uBlock Origin advanced settings, I never enabled "I am an advanced user".
The only settings that are not default are:
    - disabled "Show the number of blocked requests on the icon
    - Appearance: Theme: Light
    - added filter lists: EasyList and uBlock Annoyances, and EasyDutch
    - added filter rules in "My filters".

I sent an email to Gorhill to urge version update at least in the Microsoft Store (Nick Rolls).
    This delay is unacceptable.

    @bjm_,
    OK, thanks!
So whether there are added filter rules in "My filters" clearly is not what makes the difference.

You don't want to try the Development build?

Out of curiosity, I installed MS Edge on Linux last night, installed the Development build uBO, imported my full settings, and found no issues in about 30 minutes of browsing.

Development versions have more updates than the stable version.
After my daughter moved out of our house and especially after I retired, I no longer use fiber to surf the Internet with my PC.
Some more info about my new life:

In uBlock Origin, My filters, I notice a new, second flag icon with EasyDutch:

    EasyDutch.png

    The EasyDutch description says:
Dutch supplement for the Easylist filters to use with uBlock Origin
Only for ads or anti-adblock on Dutch sites!
Does also support Afrikaans, since it is a sort of Dutch

I see accepting entries for Afrikaans sites was discussed last May,
    https://github.com/EasyDutch-uBO/EasyDutch/issues/41

The new flag did not show in uBlock Origin, My filters, before today.

The new flag and .sr Internet country code top-level domain are not for South Africa, but for Suriname. I don't know if this was intentional or if it was a mistake.
I'll post an issue report at GitHub EasyDutch.

    Edit 1
    Posted:
    https://github.com/EasyDutch-uBO/EasyDutch/issues/92

    Edit 2
    gorhill commented:
"For now I set a threshold of 5%, so searching for .sr yielded 10 lines out of 2,374, while .be yielded 285 -- so I removed the Suriname flag and added the Belgium one."

I created a new profile in FFESR and installed uBO 1.53.0 from Mozilla add-ons.
There is still no "Do not add filters from untrusted sources" ...

Then you are not using 1.53.0, very simple. and there is nothing to discuss.
open the extension page for firefox, search for updates and let uBo finally installed, it does not update itself when pages are open.

otherwise you are using userChrome hacks - there exist no other solution.

You can choose when and how often to update.
Congratulations on your new chapter in life. I hope retirement treats you well :thumb:

As you can see I'm using uBO 1.53.0 which was last updated on November 2, 2023.
When a newer version becomes available you have the option to restart Firefox
    or update now without closing.

toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets is set to false in Firefox.

There is no userChrome.css and userContent.css files in my profile folder.
That chrome folder or the stylesheet files do not exist by default and
have to be created. Stylesheets are divided in to chrome and content folders.

I'm not seeing My Filters "Do not add filters from untrusted sources" in Chrome nor Edge.
as always, your mileage may vary

lol, so you use a very small window of your browser, cant imagine that on a desktop.
    Code:
    @media (max-height: 640px), (max-height: 800px) and (max-width: 480px)

no doubt that you cannot follow me because you did not investigate on "Do not add filters from untrusted sources"
this text is tight to min-width and min-height, if lower -> no text - see above.
it seems that those, who do not see this text, are working on a very small display common for smartphones. and yes, uBo is also optimized for smartphones. and ofc uBo looks very different on android smartphones.

Anyone seeing that nasty anti-adblocker overlay in YouTube again? Just got it in Firefox release 119.0 and then opened Brave--smooth sailing as usual. :thumb: Thinking of temporarily switching primary and secondary browsers--sorry Firefox but you're annoying right now. Can't explain why Brave works in these cases but it just does.

Will wait patiently for the Quick Fix and use Brave til then. :cautious:

No, none of that YT garbage showing for me using Firefox 119.0 on Linux O/S. All videos playing without the "in-your-face" attempted intimidation some are seeing. Using 1.53.1rc1 Development build uBO.
