    Thanks for checking, and correct, twitter.com is only loaded when uBlock is disabled, but once it's enabled, it's blocked again. I didn't want to mess around with filter settings in uBlock because everything is working quite smoothly.

    So now I have enabled Vivaldi's adblocker with only adblocking enabled, because as soon as I enable the DuckDuckGo and/or EasyPrivacy tracker blocking, then Twitter's imbedded content is blocked again. So I suppose this is the culprit, but I don't know how to fix it.

    That popup shows up or ads when I open a YT link (using uBO in Firefox with most available filter lists set), but randomly (probably once for every 50 videos viewed). When I refresh the tab or load the link in a new tab, either disappears.

    uBo Lite in Firefox to test - nothing else to say! only "no filtering" let the page work.

    nothing similar here. this test was with a nearly fresh profile and uBo lite only.
    and same for ublock origin, even nothing when ublock was off.

    maybe its country depending, or you were part of an experiment (limited users).
    or you can try a popup killer for uBo, like the example here
    https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uBlock-issues/issues/1785

    Interesting:

    https://malwaretips.com/threads/which-ubo-filters-2023-do-you-use.122979/page-5#post-1053981

    2. This is often the case but not always,any problems involving websites with few problem reports are not resolved due to lack of time.
    It has happened to me over and over again.

    The final conclusion could be correct when UBO has no bugs for advanced AG functions recently implemented by its developer.
    At this time,the stable version of UBO has many of these bugs.
    So as I have already written in this thread the use of some AG filter lists causes websites to break.

    _______________________________________________________________________

    It seems that the NextDNS blocking page no longer interferes with the d3ward test.
    I still haven't notified its developer.
    And I will probably have no way to notify this in the days to come.
    If anyone wants to do this,they are welcome to do so.

    I had a cursory look at that thread on this site (which is infested with Google services btw.). The recommendations therein are as questionable as here. E.g., in this post the author says:

    which is not true. The uBO wiki clearly says:

    And the default malware protections lists have an "expires" directive of 1 day. So one might still regard those lists as useless - but this has nothing to do with uBO. A lot of mumbling about nothing.

    Hmm...
    I only have `fonts.googleapis.com` there:

    And I've just told them that. :)

    another one which is not true.

    too much waste of comparing products which are not comparable because of different aproaches. adguard has wider portfolio than only an extension.

    Tested in a clean profile with uBO and indeed `pagead2.googlesyndication.com` popped up.
    It's this script:
    Code:
    <script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-7750719144850257"
                 crossorigin="anonymous"></script>
            <!-- MalwareTips Forums Responsive -->
            <ins class="adsbygoogle"
                 style="display:block"
                 data-ad-client="ca-pub-7750719144850257"
                 data-ad-slot="8761326509"
                 data-ad-format="auto"
                 data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins>
            <script>
                 (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
            </script>
    (uBO redirects it to a neutered script).

    In my main profile this script snippet isn't even in the page source. :confused:
    Very weird.

    What are you using in your main profile in addition to uBO?

    O, a lot. :D
    uMatrix could be a culprit, but after turning that off and also importing the uBO backup from the test profile, `googlesyndication.com` still didn't show.

    I don't have googlesyndication either. In fact, on the main Malwaretips page, I have hardly anything.

    maybe something else filtered it, for me i dont see any edgecastcdn here, while you do. googlesyndication got a replacement from uBo unbreak. gravatar is blocked completely here.

    but something to ask. has gorhill switched the numbers in the filter lists?
    ab/xy used -> xy/ab used

    ab in total, xy used, to now xy used of ab?
    either i forgot or did not read.

    Re: uBlock Origin Lite
    I'm not finding where to add more rulesets in the dashboard?
    Does uBlock Origin Lite offer element blocking?

    sorry, no picker, no logger. current version: 2023.8.25.959
    in settings you can scroll down to pick some list, but you cannot add own lists.

    current here:
    29.695 Regeln, umgewandelt aus 118.356 Netzwerkfiltern
    29.695 rules, [...] from 118.356 network filters

    in adguard mv3 you can insert own rules and own lists, but for uBo lite it's only the beginning. gorhill is working alone while adguard is a team. stay tuned.

    uBO Lite (still?) has its limitations, but does a remarkable job. It shows that you don't need many filterlists with hundreds of thousands rules, to be effective. For now it's a very nice set and forget solution.
