    Can't reproduce here.
I see no ads with my configuration, even in a saved page.
( I saved a page in .mhtml format (single file), an option that becomes available by appending --save-page-as-mhtml to the Chromium shortcut)

Can you see an entry in the Logger of such a cosmetically hidden ad?

It might be more convenient to make a .reg file, in which you change the extension ID each time you update it.
    E.g.:
    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge\ExtensionInstallAllowlist]
    "1"="cogjlncmljjnjpbgppagklanlcbchlno"

The latest version of UBO for Firefox, still, is not available.

Is 1.48.4? Yes, it's been dragging these past few versions, almost a week after release for Eastern US.

Just tried purging/updating--still nothing. Moz store still shows 1.48.2. C'mon Moz! :cautious:

Thanks for the heads-up! I was seriously wondering about that but good to know it's back to normal. :thumb:

I'll give it another day as it still hasn't gone to 1.48.4 on here. If not, same deal as Moz add ons has just updated its uBO page to the latest as Stupendous Man has noted.

Wow, very weird. Thanks for checking and will do some testing. I believe the problem is that I removed certain ads with the element picker, but most of the time it makes cosmetic filters. So the goal should always be to block ads from loading at all via filter lists.

BTW, I also save webpages in the .mhtml format, but sadly enough a lot of those websites are not loaded correctly when run from disk. Very frustrating that browsers don't do a better job, but it probably is the fault of how HTML and JavaScript have evolved in the last 20 years or so.

I mentioned .mhtml because I know you had bad luck with the SingleFileZ extension. ;)

Yes, I always use the ''Save Page As'' option that will save the website in .mhtml format, but if SingleFilez will do a better job, then perhaps I should take another look.

Yes exactly, it's a server side issue, but they told me I'm crazy and they don't see any delay and that it's probably caused by adblockers, eventhough it acts exactly the same with adblocking disabled, these guys need to be fired for building such a horrible site.

:cautious: So, me as a Chrome user, I wonder whether uBo will fully stop working on it, or maybe not?

When MV3 becomes mandatory, you'll have to switch to uBO Lite, which has limited capabilities.

    Don't get me wrong, but...
I'm dreaming when Firefox is forced to switch to MV3.
Almost every morning, it takes about 30 plus seconds from my limited (morning) time (before long hours at stressful work) to update all those filters for uBlock.
I don't have that issue on Chrome, Edge, Brave.
And it works the same for me as a common (lame) Internet user.

I used Firefox in Windows and Gnu/Linux. I never had that issue on Firefox. I guess it updates in background in my case, which I guess is default?

Last but not least you can always just not close Firefox everyday - just sleep/hibernate/standby your PC instead.

    It's my personal rule.
After using (only) Sandboxed Browser, delete all Sandoxie contents.
In my case, delete with Privazer.
I don't leave any computers unattended overnight.
I keep my Startup items to minimum.
No Edge, no Brave, No Chrome, no Firefox, etc... allowed updates.

firefox will maintain v2 and v3. so: wrong. currently MV3 is still under development, extensions like adguard mv3 do not work.

I use uBlock Origin Lite with Brave, Edge, Chrome.
I don't see any issues with it in comparison to my Firefox's uBlock Origin.
Within my browsing "area" on the Internet, I don't see ANY DIFFERENCE.

@Brummelchen is talking about Firefox, not Chromium browsers.

    Just a question.
Epic Browser has a built-in "uBlock Origin" extension.
I've noticed that Epic's uBlock has some added custom filters that the regular uBlock Origin extension does not offer.
    I wonder why.

    Customization only.
You can decide whether you need these lists or not.
