CDN have reasons. you might see "nebula-cdn.kampyle.com" but it could be redirect to real CDN behind you dont see. at least blocking any kind of cdn servers could lead to wrong displayed pages.

wrong. and in special i never would trust Norton (LifeLock)/Symantec.

further - removing "crimeware" is futile. it has a reason when "crimeware" has infected the computer. removale is futile, prevention is important. you can detect and remove any kind of malware but the security flaw still exists, and it could be you right sitting in front. if you do not have valid end secure handling with unknown files or software, detection means nothing.

Mr. Hill is a man of firm principles.
It is very difficult to convince him to change some of his opinions about UBO Lite.

    Sarcasm! This is sarcasm!. :)

That link used to NOT produce this kind of block. But I suppose a top-secret relationship w/Amazon (under cover) pays for a "free" app. Know what I mean? It is fascinating sometimes how convoluted the path is back to Amazon, Google, Facebook and Microsoft. Their tentacles are everywhere.

Thank you for checking, Sampei Nihira. It is appreciated. :)

not sure about your conclusion, could be wrong, could be right.
but at least you should face it that CDN is part of our internet since years, no matter if AWS, cloudflare or any else. CDN are located all around the world to give faster access to webpages or content without routing packages unnecessary around the world which could mean slow loading. it dont care who loads and when, its just a very fast connection. Microsoft uses CDN, Mozilla, Google, Meta, Alibaba, ofc amazon and may more.

if you feel observed then prevent VPN services in USA! (patriot act)

BTW, small tip. This new annoying Google search feature was driving me crazy, but luckily it's tackled by uBlock Origin. I had to experiment a bit but for me these ''My Filters'' rules seems to help:

    Question.
With Firefox why do you give up the "AdGuard CNAME original trackers list" in UBO?

By using NextDNS (if you have enabled the specific option) + EasyPrivacy you had partial protection from CNAME trackers.
Now your protection from these types of trackers is better.

I opened 2 issues with request to add some features to UBO Lite.
I hope the developer, gorhill, will at least consider some of these requests.
The introduction of "My filters" functionality if implemented and possible could be of interest to many users.
    :)

    P.S.

    Declined requests.
UBO Lite will certainly not be my adblocker (MV3) in Edge.

BTW, I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed with uBlock Origin. I often save websites in the MHTML format but turns out that uBlock doesn't block certain objects, it only hides them. And why can't it block stuff on websites that you run from disk? The pages that I saved from the Financial Times are pretty much worthless to me now, since the annoying stuff that's hidden when loading them from the web, is visible again.

I set up UBO - Hard Mode with TLD's in Edge/Firefox with the same TLD's as AdGuard MV3.
I want to take advantage of the UBO log to possibly correct some issues in AdGuard MV3.
There is a decrease in 3-p scripting protection.
That should be offset by my custom lists + Next DNS or AdGuard Private DNS.

bit offtopic - do you have a hint for me for a reduced but effective HOSTS file?
StevenBlack lists are > 160k, i cought some with 3.5k and another with 15k (lines), appreciated around 30k to 60k max.

reason is that a longer list makes windows dns cache service slow and slow down any app, but its mandatory for networking (between computers). no service, no shared drives.
