    No.
    There are 2 differences:

    • CNAME lists
    • Pre-Fetching which does not work in Chrome.
At the level of custom lists Kees1958's use of lists may be different because there is an anti-trackers feature in Firefox.
In Chrome, again due to the absence of an anti-trackers feature, it is advisable compared to Firefox to strengthen these specific lists.

    expired?
    Code:
    ! Expires: 30 days
    !
    ! Version: 2022.09.27
    ~ 6 weeks now
does not make sense to set a date and do not keep it current.

That's not the way I understand it. My view is that if you use MS Edge's or FF's own ad- and tracker blocking, you can suffice with the smaller list, known as
    https://raw.githubusercontent.com/K.../master/addendum_to_Edge_Firefox_build_in.txt
Not without reason it's called addendum.
I don't know why it isn't updated. Obviously the editor had no reason to do so.
For uBO in Chrome would be the advice to use the full Kees1958 list.

To the list you say is not obsolete ONLY the expiration date has been changed:

    https://github.com/Kees1958/W3C_ann...mmit/fd76775b4a2aa739f14acac59a5fea43dc9ee1a0

When Kees1958 made that change he could have done the same to the Firefox/Edge list as well.

Exactly, because unlisted trackers are blocked by browsers.
But the "Strict" setting must be used.

I did some testing with both MV3 extensions enabled at the same time:

I don't seem to have encountered overlapping effects.

Significant increase in CNAME filter rules.
In Firefox "AdGuard CNAME original trackers list" has increased from 55 rules to 56 rules.
A doubling in rules for Chromium-based browsers for the "AdGuard CNAME disguised trackers list" reaching 148,071 rules.

Make sure your mobile devices can block this sort of trackers which I understand is increasing significantly.
Again, browsers alone cannot stop these trackers.
    ;)

Hey guys! I was curious and clicked a link in Norton Power Eraser (hey we all TRUST simply every link by a well-known security software company, right?!). Anyway, uBlock Origin threw a block which I took a screenshot of and have below. The filter list responsible is oisd basic.

I looked up the filter: nebula-cdn. kampyle--and it seems there's an affiliation with Amazon there. Does anyone have another filter list that also blocks this link?

Norton Power Eraser--if anyone cares to test it (plus see if there's any "crimeware" on your drive).
