Are you talking about the blank space bars that run across those website pages and follow you
as you scroll down the page? If so, if you click on the red X in uBO to enable cosmetic
filtering for this site it will remove the blank space bar from the page.

That's exactly what I mean, but somehow Mr.X doesn't get to see this, but you do? And that's the thing, cosmetic filtering IS enabled, so is this some type of flaw with uBlock on my system? I mean shouldn't it be able to get rid of the blank spaces? The problem is, I can block them one by one with the element picker, but I would like to remove them with a single rule. Because otherwise you would have to do this on just about every page.

Still not very usable without proper cosmetic filtering.
    But we are optimistic.:)

Cosmetic filtering with the complete preset is IMO on par with AdGuard MV3.
Hope we get your requested cookie notices filter soon :thumb:

You forget that AdGuard MV3 has an element (blocking) selector that is still missing in UBO-L.
Although it must be said that it is not very effective.;)

I'm pretty surprised at the leap uBOLite has made since the very first built. I favoured AG MV3 but had some issues with the latest one so I replaced it with uBOLite .10187 (complete mode) and it performs nicely, the filtering quality is almost on par with MV2 version. Mr. Hill is doing a great job!

I am a clucks and delving into one aspect of matters that am only beginning to get somewhat of a handle on.
Running the most recent uBOLite AND AdGuard both so until something goes haywire (which i not noticed), it looks like something is working.

There was one site that throws up AD BLOCKER DETECTED but vanishes the second i reach or click on uBlocker's Browser Icon. (heading for element picker) Subsequent pages had it pop up but without doing anything it vanished too.

I'm watching uBOL evolve here, and it's to where I'm seriously considering adding a chromium browser after January 2023.

I have never seen someone so grimly determined to pit his wits against a kraken like Google--and score some victories even. You go, Mr. Hill. :)

This does not affect uBO any more. :)
The file assets.json has been changed some time ago, so that the problematic URL is no longer the first one tried.

When I visit page https://www.zougla.gr/greece/articl...n-epi8esi-ton-mat-se-fotoreporter-tis-zouglas the two videos at the bottom of the article are not viewable at all. After some investigation I found that the guilty one is uBlock filters – Privacy list. When I disable it its all fine. Maybe is the filter ||addthis.com/*/addthis_widget.js$script,redirect=addthis.com/addthis_widget.js that blocks the videos but I cannot be sure and I cannot put a badfilter in my filters in order to overcome it.
    Any ideas?
PS the videos appear normally even with 3p scripts blocked and uBlock filters – Privacy list disabled.

These 2 uBO filter rules should hide/remove the blank space on (thestreet.com) webpage.

uBlock Origin > My Rules > no cosmetic-filtering: www. thestreet.com false NOTE: no space between
    w. and t in web address

    uBlock Origin > My Filters

    www//.thestreet.com##.has-legacy-nav.is-below-header-ad.m-header-ad--balloon.not-size-d.not-size-c.not-size-a.m-header-ad

NOTE: remove the // after www

I'm sorry but I don't understand. How to make the first rule in My Rules? And adding the second rule in My Filters doesn't solve it.

The rule is created when you go to thestreet website and then in uBO click on the
red X to enable cosmetic filtering on this site.

Then Open My Rules where you will see it listed & click on Commit to make it a permanent rule.

NOTE: If you go back and click on disable cosmetic filter on this site (thestreet) the blank
    space will be visable again.

The second rule in My Filters. Did you remove the // after www in thestreet web address filter rule?

NOTE: Try this filter in My Filters:

    thestreet.com##.m-balloon-header

Either filter in My Filters works for me as long as enable cosmetic filters for this site
(thestreet) is selected in uBO. I see NO blank spaces that move when you scroll down the page.

NOTE: My settings for uBO under Default behavior I check the box Disable cosmetic filtering.
I enable it per site basis when needed.
