Yes, but the StevenBlack I used only had 592 entries, chrome-extension://gabbbocakeomblphkmmnoamkioajlkfo/asset-viewer.html?url=https://raw.githubusercontent.com/StevenBlack/hosts/master/data/StevenBlack/hosts.

I've just switched to the Adguard English, Spyware and Annoyances, and Adblock Warning, and Prebake. More filters but no impact on page load as measured using https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/page-load-time/fploionmjgeclbkemipmkogoaohcdbig.

You need to block the "Inline Scripts" from the popup user interface

Hint: A rather comprehensive list which works both in uBO and uMatrix is this one. It's comprised of several lists/hosts files and is maintained by Frank Denis, the author of dnscrypt-proxy.

Thanks, that works fine. Do you use this setting very often and will it break a lot of sites when blocking it?

The MS Edge version of uBlock Origin from the Microsoft Store is older than the others. What does that mean in terms of its performance? Is it falling behind, or is it just a different number because it is a different branch?

Looks like uBO 1.16.4 is the last Legacy version that will work in Pale Moon/New Moon browser.
I take it you'll still be able to update the lists, but not uBO newer versions.

    This is not correct.
It is possible to install the latest release.

Yes, it is correct. The latest firefox-legacy version is indeed 1.16.4. I don't think that you can use webextensions in Palemoon - or has that changed?

You can't. But this might change with the next "milestone" [Palemoon v28]

Any uBO version above 1.16.4 will not install in Pale Moon/New Moon 27 browser. Should get
a popup saying webextensions is not supported when trying to install newer versions of uBO.
    Tested it myself.

    https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/releases

The extension below allows any updates:

This is where I already have installed uBO. It doesn't work because New Moon 27
browser does not support WebExtensions. uBO 1.16.8 won't install. (uBlock0.firefox.xpi)

You need the version called "firefox-legacy," which is currently at 1.16.4: https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/releases/tag/firefox-legacy-1.16.4
(for Pale moon, Seamonkey, FF ESR, etc.)

That's the version I'm using. Sampei Nihira is claiming you can install uBO 1.16.8 which is
WebExtension version which is not supported in New Moon version 27 browser.

Gorhill mentioned planning to drop support for Firefox/legacy once Firefox 60 ESR is released in May.

    Question:

Is uBlock supposed to block all of those new cookie warnings that you get to see on most sites because of that new GDPR crap?

You can add anti-cookie or anti-annoyance lists from within the uBO interface (at the red arrow, click the + next to "Annoyances" to expand). The 1st and 4th lists block most, but not all, cookie notices for me.

Edit: you can also add this list: https://www.i-dont-care-about-cookies.eu/

Thanks, turns out I had to update both uBlock and I don't care about cookies, now most of those annoying alerts are blocked. The people behind these alerts are really retarded.
