    No worries.

Sure, you can activate another list beyond the defaults to fix a single problem, with the very real potential of breaking many other sites in the process. Activating other lists willy nilly is not usually a good idea. Sometimes less is more

depends of user behavior. the "fanboy annoying list" contain a lot of social media blocking, so if someone often uses facebook and similar it think its not recommended that list. i dont use FB and similar.

most breaking issues here are scripts from 3rd-party. blocked by default but i have some whitelisted eg CDN sites or the javascript video player.
i have lot more in my entries in "my filters" than in "my rules".

    Technically not.
I would recommend readers to add that List to their adblock as soon as possible.

    Really? Why not?

I mean @gorhill could add this list into Malware domains category by default.

BTW, how do you figure these things out? I tried to block it with the element blocker, but it kept popping up.

recommended is 1.13.8, firefox 57 is running fine with newer build (1.14.x, also beta/dev). there too many issues with other extension and ublock but noscript is also intermitting (on webextensions).

Using the element blocker worked for on first try, so I don't know why the pop-ups are continuing for you. After using the blocker, did you check under "My rules" to see if it created the appropriate filter?

post the created filter - depending on what it looks like it is possible to say if it is a static or a script based popup.

I don't know what happened, perhaps they removed the banner, because now even without the filter it won't pop-up anymore, so I can't reproduce it. I do get to see other non-animated ads, but it doesn't bother me, see attachment.

some should examine the x used of y values if lists are getting futile.

    Hello @Mister X,

The other 13 will be found in other filter lists that you have. uBlock Origin finds and removes duplicate filter rules hence that is why you see "3 used out of 19"...
    I hope this helps...

Is it possible to add comments in dynamic lists?
