UAC complains VLC is unsigned.

This helps put things in perspective. From my pov, I have no greater trust in a file than one that's both digitally signed and obtained from a source I consider trustworthy, as opposed to one that isn't signed from the same source. Of course that doesn't mean I necessarily distrust unsigned files or the developers of them, only that I appreciate the ones who provide signed files as they are willing to spend some $$, time and effort in obtaining a certificate. This shows an added touch of professionalism in their business approach, imho
