Two Notepads?

After ProcessGuard died yesterday I'm checking the security settings. I notice I have two notepad.exe. One at c:\windows and the other at c:\windows\system32. Is this normal? Both were set to Permit Always currently set to Deny Always until I hear back.

I noticed that a while ago on my machine,scanned them both at http://virusscan.jotti.org/ and they came back clean so i forgot all about them.

 

yes its normal, not sure why tho.

I got the extra notepad after I made a shortcut to notepad on my desktop. One says windows and one says system32.
