I have Windows on a SATA HD 1. I have Ubuntu on a SATA HD 2. I also have ESET SS on HD1. I have the ability in SS to scan on HD1 I don't see the ability to scan HD2. Is that correct?? If that is true how am I going to test HD 2 for anything?? Should or could I put SS on HD2?? Thanks for any clarification.
Hello, Is the second SATA hard disk drive containing Ubuntu formatted with a file system that can be read from Microsoft Windows on the first hard disk drive? In other words, when you boot into Microsoft Windows, can you see the second hard disk drive and access files on it in Windows Explorer? Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
Thank you very much for replying. It's formated as Linux. I can not see the drive in Windows Explorer. I can not access any file on the Ubuntu drive.
Hello, ESET Smart Security does not have an installable file system driver for ext3 or other Linux file systems, so that it why the second SATA hard disk drive cannot be scanned. There is a version of ESET File Security for Linux is a native Linux application, but it is designed for file servers and not workstations. More information about it can be found here on ESET's web site. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
