Be Very Careful!! You are treading on hallow ground, besides Cochise's horse has been out here!

Anyway, Ole Paint probably doesn't like the looks of you either, so you are both eating oats for dinner!

I can't resist saying that I give thanks to the remarkable group of brave and visionary gentlemen who put everything they had in their minds and hearts into a simple document that with but few revisions still astounds in its strength and brilliance, and stands resolutely as the very source of our freedom to celebrate this day of Thanksgivng as a great nation. I thank also the countless other Americans who have over the years protected and defended the Constitution in the name of the Land of the Free..

Well said Galcoolest...it is an exceptional piece of Legislation......but in this day and age we must be ever watchful, for while the good people are looking to the Sky, there are others chipping away at our very Foundations.......

Cochise---don't ya know it? This is a very frightening prospect- the all too possible attempted amendment of our sacrosanct document by a reactionary minority. ( ie. disallowing gay marriage). But no politics here, remember! The parchment is safe as is at least through tomorrow! ;)

here is a turkey day joke for you.

    The Parrot

A young man named John received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad
attitude and an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the bird's mouth
    was
rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity. John tried and tried to change the
bird's attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music
and anything else he could think of to "clean up" the bird's vocabulary.
Finally, John was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled
    back.
John shook the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even ruder. John, in
desperation, threw up his hand, grabbed the bird and put him in the freezer.
For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screamed. Then suddenly
there was total quiet. Not a peep was heard for over a minute. Fearing that
he'd hurt the parrot, John quickly opened the door to the freezer. The
    parrot
calmly stepped out onto John's outstretched arms and said,

"I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions. I'm
sincerely remorseful for my inappropriate transgressions and I fully intend
    to
do everything I can to correct my rude and unforgivable behavior."

John was stunned at the change in the bird's attitude. As he was about to
    ask
the parrot what had made such a dramatic change in his behavior, the bird
    continued,

"May I ask what the turkey did?"

;) Have an American armed forces enlisted person read to you the oath of enlistment some time, we are still in good hands. I won't quote it all but only the part that says "I pledge to defend and support the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic".

    Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

    Thanks
