I have a little batch file that loads the three whenever I'm going to run backup... Not practical if you're running a schedule, but otherwise...

    Regards,

    SOLUTION

The solution to this problem was in the end embarrassingly simple

(Acronis - it might be helpful if this was added to the User Guide Section 2.3)

I am providing the solution here for the benefit of anyone who may experience a similar problem.

    Observation:
After installing TI9 only schedul2.exe is displayed in the running Processes list. The Acronis default is that the 4 processes - schedul2.exe, shedhlp.exe, TrueImageMonitor.exe and TimounterMonitor.exe - should all be running.
(Initially it is advisable to allow TI9 to run with default settings. With experience of the product some users may decide to modify these settings).

    Problem:
    1. How to get these processes running by default
    2. How to prevent the reoccurance of this issue

    Installation Notes:
System was disconnected from the Internet during installation of TI9 and all security software disabled for the duration of the installation. (AV, Firewall, SpyWare detectors.....etc)

    Cause of the Problem:
Security software was not temporarily disabled in the Startup sequence. Therefore at the end of the installation of TI9, when the system reboots, the security software automatically started as part of the Startup sequence and the "finishing" processes of the TI9 installation that occur after the reboot did not complete correctly because the security software prevented the changes to the system that were required by TI9.

    Solution:
    1. Stop all security software
    2. Temporarily disable security software from the Startup sequence
    3. Navigate to the appropriate Folder on your PC and double-click on the lastest download file of TI9 (Currently: trueimage9.0.3633_s_en.exe)
    4. A dialog box will give you 3 options. Choose "Repair"
    5. Reboot when prompted
    6. Check that all 4 processes are now visible in Task Manager > Processes and that the service "Acronis Scheduler2 Service" is at status "Started"
    7. IMPORTANT : Re-enable security software into the Startup sequence
    8. Reboot
    9. Check the processes and service again.
    10. Check that all security software is running (AV, Firewall, SpyWare detectors etc....)

    :D
