    Hello,

I am having a error when I true to create a backup from the Linux Agent to a windows 2003 server smb share. I am able to connect and select where I want the backup to go. However when the backup start it gives the error

Failed to open "the file " for write..
On the windows server full control permission is granted to everyone..
I get this error whether I use a login to authenticate or try anonymous.

    Any tips?

    Hello jozwikjp,

Thank you for using Acronis Corporate Products

    1. What build do you use?

    2. Does the backup creation start or you receive the error just after pressing 'Proceed'?

    3. Please do the following and let us know the results:

    - issue the commands below:

    # mkdir /mnt/backup
    # asamba mount <remote IP> <remote hostname> <share name> /mnt/backup <username> <password>

    - try to back up to /mnt/backup.

    - unmount the /mnt/backup:

    # umount /mnt/backup

    - issue the following command:

    # mount -t cifs -o username=<username>,password=<password> //hostname/share_name /mnt/backup

and try to back up to /mnt/backup again.

    Thank you.
